Welcome to the RainbowStars Website!

What is RainbowStars?

Our purpose is to bring "queer" astrologers (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) together. If you're straight, however, don't worry. We're straight friendly as well. ;-)

RainbowStars actually has two components: mailing list and Webring.

It's a mailing list!

The mailing list is for LGBTQ folk to talk about astrology and what it means to them. When someone posts to the list, everyone receives a copy.

In order to join and to participate, you should:

know how to send and receive email, and understand the concept of an email mailing list.
know at least a little astrology.
have an interest in issues relating to lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgendered and other queer folk.
be willing to respect other people and their viewpoints. Personal attacks are not welcome on the list and can get your list membership terminated.
be comfortable with a mix that includes lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgendered and other queer folk as well as straight folk as well. (I hope my writing isn't too "folksy" for you!) ;-)
If you are offended or disturbed by this mix of women and men, gay and lesbian, queer and straight, transgender and birth gender, you probably shouldn't join this list, since I desire to foster inclusion, not exclusion.

To subscribe to the list, you can go to this address: http://www.egroups.com/subscribe/RainbowStars. Or you can look around first at http://www.egroups.com/group/RainbowStars.

Another way to subscribe is by sending a blank email to RainbowStars-subscribe@egroups.com. The mailing list server will automatically subscribe you to RainbowStars. You will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. Further information will be provided in the email.

Both forms of subscription are equally valid. If you are not a member of Egroups, you will be asked to confirm that you want to become a member. You have to be a member of Egroups in order to subscribe to RainbowStars. Don't worry, though. Egroups is free, and they don't send you spam.

You can also subscribe and unsubscribe using the box below:

After you've subscribed, you will receive a confirmation email, letting you know you're a member of the list, and suggesting information for you to introduce your thoughts and opinions to the rest of the group. Keep in mind that you joining an established group, and an introduce would be a great way for you and the group to get to know each other better. You can send email to the group at this address: RainbowStars@egroups.com . If you want to unsubscribe, just send a blank email to RainbowStars-unsubscribe@egroups.com. The computer will take care of the rest. (And we will miss your contribution to our community of queer astrology.) :-(
